Celeste Palermo writes golf book for women: From the Red Tees

Many women today have taken up the sport of golf and are playing from the red tees, though they sometimes lack the basic knowledge of the game and are too embarrassed to ask their male counterparts. Author Celeste Palermo has been there, and she knows how to laugh about it. Chuckle along with her while reading her debut book, From the Red Tees: Help, Hope, and Humor for Women on the Green (ISBN-13: 978-1-58182-588-6, hardcover, $18.95).

Palermo started golfing 10 years ago and has had her share of beginners' mishaps, though she has also sunk a hole-in-one and then promptly lost the lucky ball in a water hazard. From the Red Tees is a must-read for beginners and experienced golfers alike who want to inject some fun into their game. A reviewer for Amazon.com gave the book five stars and called it "Smart, witty, informative and full of great advice. But more importantly, a great lesson in perspective on and off the course."

Here's what the Pros are saying about From the Red Tees:

"If you are new to golf, or thinking about taking up the game, this is a must read…a long-overdue book that shows how easy it is to get involved in the game and highlights how much fun golf can be for everyone." Mike McGetrick, 1999 PGA National Teacher of the Year and renowned teacher of many successful LPGA golfers

"I believe this book will be an eye-opener for the woman golfer. All the questions she would want answered regarding golf are answered. My women golfers will love this book!
