Leporati is named head golf pro for Bedford Springs Old Course

BEDFORD, Pa. -- Ron Leporati, Jr. has been appointed head golf professional for Bedford Springs Old Course at Bedford Springs Resort, the historic property dating to 1796 that once served as the Summer White House. The resort, along with the golf course, is scheduled to reopen on June 29 following a $120 million restoration and expansion.

Previously, Leporati, a PGA Class A member, served as director of golf for the Hidden Creek County Club of Reston, Va., a private club located in the Washington, D.C. metro area. Before this, he served as the PGA assistant golf professional for Columbia Country Club of Chevy Chase, Maryland, host site of the 1921 United States Open Championship.

Earlier in his career, Leporati worked for Benchmark Hospitality at Lansdowne Resort, located near Leesburg, Va., as assistant golf professional of the property’s golf club. He has also served as golf shop manager for the Boonsboro Country Club of Lynchburg, Va.

Leporati is a graduate of Liberty University of Lynchburg, where he received a Bachelors degree in Sports Management. He has relocated to Bedford, Pa.
