ING's Spitalny & Collins going to International Pairs World Finals

Jim Collins and Gloria Spitalny had not met prior to the 17th Annual ING Spring Conference at Turning Stone Resort & Casino June 3-7. But odds are they will get to know each other pretty well over the next few weeks after winning the International Pairs World Qualifier at the ING Spring Conference.

Collins and Spitalny teamed for 43 points in the net Stableford better ball competition on the extremely difficult Kaluhyat course at Turning Stone. That total was good enough for a two-point victory over three teams tied for second: Ron Garl-Steve Gribin, Brian Hunicke-Jim Light, and Pete Huestis-Parker Smith.

Now the team will represent the ING and the U.S.A. in the fourth International Pairs World Finals at the Fairmont Resort in St. Andrews, Scotland July 1-3. Nearly all expenses are covered for the two in the sponsorship arrangement between International Pairs and ING.

The International Network Of Golf, a 17-year-old non-profit, media-based networking organization whose mission is to bring together members of the media and business communities to enhance communication in golf, conducts the conference. ING is open to anyone in the golf industry or media.
