WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- Just in time for Father’s Day, the perfect gift of tickets to this year’s ADT Championship will be available starting May 28. With $1 million on the line, the action at this year’s ADT Championship November 13-18, at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, will be nothing short of spectacular. Tickets and packages will be available online at the adtchampionship.com Web site and by calling 888-LPGA-TIX (574-2849). All children fifteen and under will receive free grounds admission when accompanied by a ticketed adult.
With limited availability, the most sought after ticket will be the Trump Terrace Club Pass which will allow this select group of patrons entrée to the Trump Terrace Club presented by Publix. For the first time, the Trump Terrace Club Pass holders will have access to the exclusive Trump International’s clubhouse and main dinning room where patrons will enjoy an expanded gourmet pay as you go menu. In addition, Trump Terrace Club Pass holders will have access to the clubhouse patio, dedicated private restroom facilities and preferred seating around the golf course, including the 18th green. Group and corporate hospitality packages are also available by calling the ADT Championship office at (561) 656-4400.
Also available is the Championship Grounds Pass which grants patrons access to the tournament, with the best value being the Weekly Championship Grounds Pass which includes the Sunday ticket when fans will be treated to a premium giveaway, a Hall of Fame golf clinic, a Taste of Palm Beach cooking demonstration, a musical performance by a local artist and witness the finals of the ADT Championship Million Dollar Shootout contest. In addition, LPGA Professionals will be offering 10-minute lessons onsite during Championship week on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. Also new this year, ticket holders, who are 21-years or older, can visit the Beringer Estates Wine Garden, where visitors can enjoy a place to sit down and relax while sampling a variety of wines.
“With all the enhancements planned for this year’s ADT Championship, fans are going to be entertained from the moment they arrive,” said ADT Championship Tournament Director Duffy House.
In addition, this year’s ADT Championship tickets are sure to become a collector’s item with their innovative graphics, space for autographs and ability to be personalized. EC4 Technologies Inc., which developed this year tickets exclusively for the ADT Championship, will give ticket purchasers the option to donate $3 to charity and with that donation, the ticket holder then has the option to personalize the back of their ticket with any player who qualifies for the Championship. The addition of the player trading card on the back of the ticket is sure to make these ADT Championship tickets a unique souvenir to save for many years.
The ADT Championship features a $1,550,000 purse with the winner taking home a $1 million paycheck, the largest first-place prize in the history of women's golf. The ADT Championship will also feature three days of playoffs with a cut after 36 holes. Players start with a fresh scorecard for the third round, which ends with another cut. A final-day shoot-out with the remaining eight players will have them, again, starting with a fresh scorecard for their chance at the $1 million winner’s check.
LPGA players qualify for the ADT Championship through the LPGA Playoffs 2007, which is a yearlong competitive structure that splits the official LPGA season into two halves, and culminates at the ADT Championship. Fifteen players from each half qualify for the ADT Championship using a performance-based points system—ADT Points—throughout the year. Two additional wildcards will be determined following The Mitchell Company LPGA Tournament of Champions. Ten spots will be awarded to winners of Winner events, which are defined as all official LPGA Tour events with a purse of at least $2 million, while the remaining spots in each half will be awarded to the ADT Points qualifiers who are not otherwise qualified.
Suzann Pettersen of Norway, Morgan Pressel of Boca Raton, and Brittany Licicome of Seminole, are the only three LPGA players to secure their spots in the 2007 ADT Championship. Pressel earned her spot when she became the youngest player in LPGA Tour history to win a major championship at the Kraft Nabisco Championship, while Lincicome qualified with her victory at the GINN Open. Pettersen was the latest to qualify with her sudden-death victory at the Michelob ULTRA Open which was her first win on the LPGA Tour. Golf fans can follow all the 2007 LPGA Playoff action at adtchampionship.com, and see who is going to join Pettersen, Pressel and Lincicome at ADT Championship.
