The PGA of America's Financial Assistance Fund Scholarship Program surpassed records in awarded scholarships this year along with total funds and overall applicants.

A record 459 applications were received this year, with scholarships awarded to 171 students totaling $372,000 (an increase of $10,000 since 2006)

Founded in 1986, the PGA Financial Assistance Fund Scholarship Program has awarded more than $3.1 million to 1,639 students. The program encourages and promotes the attainment of higher education goals for children and grandchildren of PGA members.

Funding for these scholarships is made possible through voluntary contributions to the PGA Financial Assistance Fund (a tax deductible 501(c)(3) fund) from PGA members and other donors.
