Perfection Platforms reports from the GCAA and WGCA Conventions in Las Vegas

This past Monday and Tuesday marked the annual conventions of the GCAA and WGCA collegiate golf coaches' organizations in Las Vegas. Robb Gibb, PGA, attended with Michael Goebel, Science and Motion Sports Business Manager from Germany.

Indications the two vendor nights were a large success for both SAM and SAM's best friend, Perfection Platforms.

"The show in Vegas was my first since taking over from Glen [Coombe] and I felt right at home in the collegiate coaches environment," Gibb said. "I played collegiate golf myself at Binghamton University and love the experience as it now relates to helping coaches to integrate technology into their programs. We spent the vendor evenings showcasing the latest from SAM and how the SAM products integrate with our Putting Perfection and Swing Perfection Platforms. The audience was very receptive to each of the products we showcased. I want to especially thank David Orr for sharing so much of his time and experience with the coaches while with us in the booth."

The Swing Perfection Platform (SPP) is an evolution of the Putting Perfection Platforms which already have seen success and are installed at Ohio State University, Indiana University, Campbell University, Trump Doral, Baltusrol Golf Club and The Austin Golf Institute. Using lightweight but rigid aluminum extrusions for framework as well as lightweight decking the SPP is a planar surface which can be electrically articulated to a maximum of 14% slope or 8 degrees. Golfers and their instructors can then prepare for the natural uneven lies that present during each and every round of golf.

"Every instructor and every performance center will want multiple Swing Perfection Platforms," Gibb said. "We are already building a two sided unit with force plate technology centered for right handed or left handed swings. I can see each teaching bay as well as multiple supervised practice stations with an SPP in place
and in demand."

Glen Coombe said: "I couldn't be prouder to have hand-picked my successor with SAM and someone keen enough to take over the work I've done to develop Perfection Platforms. Robb is indeed a new and improved model of his predecessor. We see the next step for SPP to include balance technology of SAM BalanceLab or any other ground force analysis technology. We will showcase our SPP in the SAM booth with BalanceLab built in as we did last year with the hidden BL on our Putting Perfection Platform."
