C-Thru Grips a winner on two continents

Orlando, Fla. – Dec. 8, 2004 – C-Thru Grips from Golf Pride had wins on two continents last week. The victorious duo of the Office Depot Father/Son Challenge, played at ChampionsGate Resort in Orlando, Fla., won Dec. 5 using C-Thru Grips.

Their customized C-Thru Grips paddle-style putter grips featured their corporate logo. With an eight-birdie run Sunday beginning on the 11th hole, the two-man team shot 59 for a three-stroke victory and first-place prize winnings of $200,000. In addition, the son in this duo carried a C-Thru Grips Tour Velvet-style grip on his wedge, featuring the same customized corporate logo. Another player in the tournament field also used C-Thru Grips, playing with a C-Thru Grips putter grip.

C-Thru Grips have been on view in the winner's circle in Australia, too. The Australian who won for the third consecutive week Dec. 5 at the Australian PGA used a C-Thru Grips putter grip to secure his 2-shot victory in Coolum, posting an 18-under 270 total on the Hyatt Regency resort course. This champion, a regular on the PGA Tour, also won the New South Wales Open two weeks ago, then proceeded to defend his Australian Open title last week using C-Thru Grips.

"We congratulate the father/son team who won on Sunday using C-Thru Grips," said Mickey Novak, founder of C-Thru Grips. "We also extend our congratulations to the Australian player who is posting so many exciting victories using C-Thru Grips."

Last year, over 150 PGA Tour players used C-Thru Grips. This year, already there have been wins on the PGA, LPGA and European Tours by players carrying C-Thru Grips. On the collegiate level, C-Thru Grips, which are used by over three hundred college and university golf teams nationwide, had six wins at various national collegiate Championships this year.

C-Thru Grips, established in 2001, produces clear, tour-quality golf grips featuring customized designs, and specializes in both putter and full swing golf grips. A wide array of slogans, country flags, country club logos and college and university logos are available. Additionally, custom-designed labels may be ordered to support golf facilities, as well as alumni or corporate functions.
