EDH Sport tabs Mickey Novak

Bethlehem, Pa. - EDH Sport, maker of FlightScope, has named Mickey Novak its tour representative. In this capacity, Novak will introduce FlightScope to TOUR players as well as to fans, who will be able to see the unit in use at tour events.

"We are pleased that we will have a presence on tour with Mickey Novak, an industry veteran who brings a wealth of experience to the role," said Marc Solda, president of EDH Sport. "This move reflects our commitment to bring FlightScope's state-of-the-art technology, by EDH Sport, to individual golfers as they seek to continue to refine their games."

FlightScope, which was introduced at the PGA Merchandise Show in January, is a portable unit that employs a Phase Array Tracking Sensor and proprietary technology to record accurately the ball in flight and to provide actual launch data.

The characteristic that distinguishes FlightScope from existing launch monitor technology is that FlightScope is the only product in the world that can record the ball flight accurately in the precise environment in which the ball travels, thereby
providing actual rather than implied data. The resultant ability of golfers, instructors and club fitters to see the actual ball trajectory at various angles allows them to make precise adjustments for enhanced performance.

Novak, a former golf professional who won first place at the 1981 PGA National Open Putting Championship, performed mobile tour club repair from 1981-94 on the PGA and LPGA Tours. From 1989-2002 he did club repair and fitting for the David Leadbetter Golf Academy in Orlando, Fla. In 2001 Novak founded C-Thru Grips, Inc., which produces clear, tour-quality golf grips featuring customized designs.

EDH, founded in 1989 by Henri Johnson, an inventor and electronic engineer, is a product development company based in Stellenbosch, near Cape Town in South Africa. EDH, which develops products for the military and sports markets, has as its core expertise the design and development of 3D tracking radar systems.

As a result of its success in the field of tracking technology, EDH also has developed extensive open access to its data outputs, so that value-added resellers can benefit from proven reliable EDH technology. This access enables third parties to display EDH event data without EDH event presence.
