St ANDREWS, Scotland -- The Sixth Annual Father and Son Tournament, held in St Andrews Scotland, was won by John Shamon from South Carolina and his son, Jonathan Shamon from Washington.
John, from Okatie, SC and Jonathan Shamon from Duvall, WA finished on 155 points, when playing to three- quarters of their respective 8 and 13 handicaps in a better ball stableford competition. In addition, Jim Kelly won the best Scratch (74) prize, and Fred Losch Jnr picked up the best handicap prize with a Net 71. However it was the round of 41 points which saw the Shamon’s moved into first place overall and take the title by 2 points.
