Saddle Creek Resort earns ranking in newest Zagat Survey

COPPEROPOLIS, Calif. -- Saddle Creek Resort – the 900-acre Castle & Cooke community located two hours east of the San Francisco Bay Area in the scenic Sierra Nevada Foothills –-- has been named to the ZAGAT Survey listing of “America’s Top Golf Courses” for 2007/08.

Among the most thorough rating guides in all of golf, ZAGAT covers 1,075 of the best courses in the United States, Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico. Courses in the guide are rated based on the responses of more than 6,250 reviewers who play more than 560,000 rounds annually. Strength of layout, value, overall quality, facility and service standards are taken into consideration.

“Saddle Creek’s inclusion in the ZAGAT Survey is a resounding, third-party validation of the course’s excellence in conditioning and service,” says General Manager Bill Troyanoski. “We are excited to be included among the best golf courses in America by such a prestigious guide.”

In addition to appearing in the list of California’s top courses, Saddle Creek was recognized for its outstanding bunkering. All 100 bunkers were recently remodeled and enhanced with new drainage, edges and sand.
