MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- The Executive Tournament Committee of the Martin’s PGA TOUR Superstore National Father & Son Team Classic is pleased to announce the addition of Crow Creek Golf Club to the 2007 course rotation. Crow Creek Golf Club has signed a three-year agreement to be a host site of this national event. The 10th annual tournament will be held July 19-21, 2007 in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
Since Opening in February 2000, Crow Creek Golf Club has become one of the most popular destinations for golfers visiting the Myrtle Beach area. Crow Creek Golf Club is located in Calabash, NC, two miles north of the NC / SC state line and just minutes from Myrtle Beach.
Created by architect Rick Robbins, a former Jack Nicklaus design associate, Crow Creek Golf Club is a scenic layout set on developer Jerry McLamb's 500-acre family homestead. Comments are received on a daily basis praising the imaginative layout, undulating L-93 bent grass greens, manicured Tifsport Bermuda fairways and genuine hospitality of the entire staff. “Crow Creek Golf Club is one of the Carolina’s finest golf courses and we are extremely pleased to add them to the Father & Son rotation for the next three years,” said Aaron Allen, Tournament Director.
The National Father & Son Team Classic is the largest father and son golf competition in the world. Played on the Grand Strand's most requested golf courses, the championship is a 54-hole event offering a different format each day. The 2006 event drew more than 1,400 players from 44 states and eight foreign countries. Eligibility for the tournament is open to fathers and sons; grandfathers and grandsons; stepfathers and stepsons; fathers and sons in law; and uncles and nephews. Along with three days of golf and an exceptional gift package, each player will receive a $200 Martin’s PGA TOUR Superstore gift card.
