Mike Amira appointed director of the KZG Fitting & Training Center

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA. – Dec. 4, 2004 – KZG, the #1 Custom ProLine, has announced that PGA Professional, Mike Amira has been appointed the Director of the KZG Fitting & Training Center.

“Mike is the perfect candidate for the Director of the KZG Fitting & Training Center,” reports Jennifer King, President of KZG. “His passion for and expertise in golf and instruction have been honed during his years of experience as a PGA Professional and prior to that, as an instructor and course developer at IBM.”

Since becoming a PGA Professional in 1991, Amira has worked as a Head Professional, Director of Golf, and Director of Instruction at golf courses in Arizona, Florida, Maryland and New Mexico. He also started the club repair department at The Villages Golf Academy in The Villages, Florida, which is home of the Nancy Lopez and Arnold Palmer Golf Courses. Most recently he was Director of Instruction for Ace Golf Learning Center in Riverview, Florida.

Amira is a former faculty member of the PGA Golf Professional Training Program, where he traveled the country training PGA Apprentice Professionals on the business, the game, rules, interpersonal skills, club fitting, club repair and teaching. In addition to the positions he has held, Amira is a rules official, certified club and shaft fitter, and is trained at club repair.

Amira has trained many elite junior golfers in Florida and Maryland and has coached the Frederick Community College (MD) Golf Team. He has been named Maryland JUCO Coach of the Year and NJCAA Region XX Coach of the Year. Prior to becoming a PGA Professional, Amira spent 11 years working for IBM first as a systems engineer and telecommunications specialist, and then moved into instruction and course development.

The new state-of-the-art KZG Fitting & Training Center will be used to fit the many touring professionals and ranked amateurs that play KZG products. It will also be used to train and certify KZG dealers (now numbering over 2000 worldwide) in the company’s new fitting software. In addition, the center will be open to the public so that the company will have first hand knowledge of what the golfing public wants and needs.
