Dynalign Golf announces new edition of The Shotmaker Manual

Dynalign Golf LLC, a leader in dynamic pre-shot alignment, announces that a new and expanded edition of The Shotmaker Manual will be available May 15, 2007. The illustrated manual shows how golfers can achieve what has been called “The Position of Champions” at impact. This position is a flat leading wrist, and it is a tenet of modern golf instruction. The advantage of the Dynalign Alignment Method is that it minimizes the requirement for a player to correctly time forearm and wrist rotation in order to achieve a flat leading wrist at impact.

Craig Foster, the founder of Dynalign Golf LLC, explains that a major reason for mis-directed shots is the difference in the configuration of the leading hand, wrist, and forearm between the address and the impact position. “High speed camera shots during tour events clearly show how the clubface angle can rotate through impact,” says Foster. “When the player correctly performs the amount of rotation, the shot is successful. Problems occur even for the world’s best players when they either under or over rotate through impact. When you consider the type of shot the player is trying to hit: draw, fade, straight, low, normal, or high trajectory, no wonder there is such a lack of shot control for the average player. The best way to increase consistency is to use dynamic pre-shot alignment.”

The Dynalign pre-shot alignment routine can greatly reduce the need to make an instantaneous judgment on the forward swing regarding clubface angle, so that more predictable results occur. A benefit of the Dynalign system is that it works for putting, chipping, and full shots. It provides superior clubface stability for putting, and also allows the player to hit full shots with intentional draws and fades at a chosen trajectory for increased strategic skills. The golfer learns one basic pre-shot routine, and can apply it to his or her whole game. It is a pre-shot routine with alignment as the purpose, rather than a pre-shot routine that is done just for the sake of routine.

Another advantage of Dynalign’s dynamic alignment technique is that it positions the golfer to more easily swing with efficient mechanics. “For example, you won’t have to worry about tucking your trailing elbow on the forward swing because dynamic alignment properly prepares your body for that at address. We show you how to treat your body more like a machine, but in language that is understandable. ” says Foster. No braces or devices, such as hinged gloves or swing plane apparatus are needed to learn or use the Dynalign system.
