oobgolf launches new virtual scorecard designs on its Web site

oobgolf has launched their newest virtual scorecard designs on their website. The scorecards are designed in Flash 9, putting them on the cutting edge of technology in both appearance and functionality. The scorecards can be easily embedded into any site on the web including a course website, travel site, blog or personal homepage. These virtual scorecards are a FREE service of oobgolf.com.

The scorecards show all the data that one would normally find on a physical scorecard including: tee names, tee rating and slope, yardages, hole handicaps and par. The data can be entered by the course to ensure accuracy. The process of embedding these scorecards is a simple as copying and pasting. Depending on the intricacy of the course website this can be done in under a minute by the webmaster or owner. The direct link to get the code can be found at: http://www.oobgolf.com/courses/scorecards_for_your_site.php

Beyond the course data, the oobgolf scorecards also feature an interactive handicap calculator and custom printing function. Users can enter their handicap index and choose a tee to automatically calculate net strokes for their round. The printing function allows a user to create a personalized card for their upcoming round. They can enter as many as 3 playing partners and also include spaces to enter extra data such as Fairways hit, GIR and number of putts.

oobgolf is a FREE handicap and stat tracking website launched in August of 2006. oobgolf.com also features a daily blog, course directory and ability to network with other golfers. oobgolf.com was started by Kevin Langdon an addicted golfer and web entrepreneur who has played a part in developing sites for Comcast, Brightcove, Mapquest, National Geographic, Newsweek and others.
