Trophy Golf Management changes name toTrophy Golf & Resorts

HOBE SOUND, Fla. -- Trophy Golf Management announced it has officially changed its company name to Trophy Golf & Resorts. Effective immediately, Trophy Golf & Resorts was created to better reflect the company’s current business portfolio and where it is headed in terms of new business providing development, consulting and management services to recreational real estate, lodging properties and resorts. Trophy Golf & Resorts is a boutique consulting, development and management company specializing in the planning, design, finance, development, sales and marketing, opening and operation of high- quality private membership clubs, golf facilities, golf communities, golf-oriented lodging properties and resorts throughout the United States and worldwide.

“At this point in time, we are finding that a big part of our current business involves lodging or a lodging component as part of a resort or community, and many of our new projects involve lodging be it traditional rooms, villas, fractional ownership or condominium hotel, a trend we expect to continue into the foreseeable future,” said Lee Lockhart, president, Trophy Golf & Resorts. “Resorts and lodging are nothing new to us, however the name change signals the magnitude in which our expertise in this area is fast becoming a core value to properly meet the needs of our clients and properties today. We believe there is an excellent opportunity to position our company as one of the dominant boutique resort operators in the luxury segment of the industry. Consequently, a company name change was in order to support our vision and underscore the reality that a high percentage of new projects involve lodging to drive real estate sales or satisfy zoning requirements.”

Spearheading the resort and lodging area of Trophy Golf & Resorts, Lockhart brings more than forty years experience in the resort and lodging industry and has been involved in several world-class resorts. For example, he was responsible for the development, opening and management of The Villas of Grand Cypress (Orlando, Fla. ) and held senior management positions at several world-renowned resort properties including The Homestead, Pinehurst, Amelia Island Plantation and The Greenbrier.

“The fact that we recently went through a re-branding exercise marks a new phase in the development of our young company,” added Michael Zmetrovich, CEO, Trophy Golf & Resorts. “ >From a perception standpoint, as we continue to expand our client and property base and accelerate our resort and lodging efforts with new and existing properties, our new name is a more accurate and compelling articulation of the depth of experience and overall value we bring to our clients as well as the members and guests at our properties.”

Most recently, Trophy Golf & Resorts secured a 10-year contract for its resort management expertise at Paradise Ranch Resort, a 320-acre development located in Grant’s Pass, Ore., which includes a Jack Nicklaus/Jack Nicklaus II co-designed, 18-hole championship golf course and 100-room resort. In addition, Trophy Golf & Resorts is currently providing extensive consulting services to developers of several proposed resorts in Calif. during the pre-development stage.
