Let's face it, when it comes to getting in trouble with the law, the PGA Tour guys have long been rank amateurs. Their biggest crime is often their fashion sense (yes, you Sergio Garcia and those yellow pants). You don't even see many DUIs from this staid crowd.

Which is why it's so refreshing to see Arjun Atwal stepping up to give the Tour a fighting chance against the the NFL.

Atwal is under investigation for his role in a fatal crash in Orlando. Police say that this appears to have been a high-speed street race that took the life of the other driver.

"At a minimum, (Atwal) is facing a charge of engaging in a street race," Florida Highway Patrol Trooper Kim Miller told the Associated Press. "We have to see if this crash rises to the level of any other charges."

And you thought Pacman Jones had all the fun?

"Witnesses tell us they were engaged in a street race," Miller told AP. "They estimated speeds at or about 100 mph. (The other) vehicle hit a tree and basically just shattered. Part of the axle was found in the tree. It was a very violent crash."

Sure, Atwal hasn't been formerly charged with anything yet. But PGA Tour commissioner Tim Finchem should cut him a bonus check right now regardless.

Finally, someone's shown that golfers can be just as bad to the bone as actual popular athletes.

Atwal is 33 years old. And he's allegedly street racing. At 33. On a road that's reported to be a popular shortcut from the Disney Resorts.

If that doesn't open up everyone's eyes to the untapped law-breaking potential of the PGA Tour guys, what will?
