Cutter & Buck announces it is apparel sponsor of Heath Slocum

SEATTLE -- Cutter & Buck, a leader in golf-inspired upscale sportswear and outerwear, is thrilled to announce that it is the official apparel sponsor of one of the PGA Tour’s fastest-rising stars, Heath Slocum. Under the agreement, Slocum will wear and endorse Cutter & Buck apparel for the 2007 PGA Tour season.

“Heath represents the future of men’s golf,” said Cutter & Buck president Kaia Akre. “His dynamic presence both on and off the greens is a great match for our tour-tested, distinctive golf apparel. We welcome Heath into the Cutter & Buck family and look forward to supporting his future successes.”

The Baton Rouge native is one of only a handful of Americans under the age of 35 with two PGA TOUR wins, with the 2005 Southern Farm Bureau Classic and the 2004 Chrysler Classic of Tucson. In his first four tournaments wearing Cutter & Buck, Heath finished second at the PODS Championship, fourth at the 2007 Bob Hope Classic, sixth at the FBR and 20th at the SONY Open. Heath currently ranks in the top 15 on the PGA TOUR money list and 12th in the new FEDEX CUP standings. Heath had two top five finishes and six top 25 finishes in 2006.

“Cutter & Buck makes golf apparel that I enjoy wearing, even off the course,” said Slocum. “The look, fit and functionality of Cutter & Buck’s CB ProTec™ series meets my demanding needs on the tour circuit and beyond by keeping me comfortable and protected from the elements. I can’t think of a better match.”

The result of years of rigorous research and development, the CB ProTec™ family of innovative sportswear combines fashion with the ultimate in performance fabrics including: CB WindTec™, CB WeatherTec™, CB SunTec™ and CB ThermaTec™, CB DryTec™ and now, CB DryTec™ featuring Cocona Natural Technology.
