VAIL, Colo. -- New this summer, Cordillera is introducing a Junior Golf Academy at its Short Course, designed by short-game expert Dave Pelz, featuring 10 holes & a practice course. The elite junior golf camp will be available throughout the summer where kids will have the opportunity to work with PGA Professionals to master golf fundamentals and develop new skills.
Known for its four distinct, PGA-rate championship golf courses, Cordillera is a community spread across 7,000 acres of beautiful terrain, set in the mountains above Vail Valley. The destination offers five unique neighborhoods with multiple dining options, countless year round-amenities and a variety or homes available for vacation rental. Numerous ownership opportunities are available as well for those seeking to purchase a home or land at Cordillera.
Cordillera's four championship courses are all designed by golf's greats - Jack Nicklaus, Hale Irwin, Tom Fazio and Dale Pelz. Each course is situated at varying altitudes (ranging from 7,200 feet on the valley floor, to 9,200 feet at The Summit Course) to challenge any visitor, no matter the skill level.
The new junior academy is an elite golf program for kids ages 7-14 and offers a fun environment in which kids can participate in various activities to develop their athletic skills and learn the art of golfing including developing knowledge on the swing, etiquette and rules of the game. Participants will receive such benefits as PGA Professional supervised instruction; a new set of golfer essentials (tees, golf balls, divot tool, ball mark); a Cordillera logoed hat as well as lunch & snacks provided throughout the camp.
While kids are learning the game, adults can play a full round on one of the other three championship courses throughout the season. For more information, please visit cordilleraliving.com.
