Gil Capps - associate producer for Golf Channel on NBC and managing editor, Golf Channel editorial research unit - released his first book: The Magnificent Masters: Jack Nicklaus, Johnny Miller, Tom Weiskopf and the 1975 Cliffhanger at Augusta. The book takes a close look at the 1975 Masters, which featured one of the most exciting finishes in the history of the tournament. It offers extensive commentary on what remains as one of the more memorable golf events in history nearly four decades later, and includes exclusive interviews with each of the three players that were in serious contention on Sunday.
An Emmy award-winner for NBC Sports golf telecasts, Capps has worked at more than 400 tournaments in his career, the majority of which have been spent in NBC's lead tower providing editorial direction to the likes of Johnny Miller, Dan Hicks and Dick Enberg. He also has taken a lead role in the creation of Golf Channel's editorial research unit - launched in 2012 - and continues to oversee its growth and development.
The book is available in hardcover and electronic versions wherever books are sold.
