SEASIDE, Calif. -- Bayonet Black Horse Golf Course is excited to be hosting the Second Annual Bayonet Black Horse Golf Expo on Saturday May 10 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. More than 20 companies have already committed to attending the event, including major club manufacturers, apparel companies, golf accessories, local hotel partners, and wineries. Come out and enjoy the day. There will be complimentary club fittings, adult and junior clinics.
With its narrow playing corridors and steep, penal bunkering, the
Bayonet Course at Bayonet and Black Horse has long been considered the most difficult test of golf on the Monterey Peninsula. The par-72, 7,104-yard course retained its famous bite after the recent renovation by award-winning architect Gene Bates, but playability and strategic options were greatly improved. Black Horse, a 7,024-yard, par-72 layout, features sweeping vistas of the Pacific and is highlighted by fescue-framed fairways, bunkers with distinctive, serrated edges and slickly-contoured greens. The par-3 15th faces the bay and is sure to emerge as one of the great holes on the Peninsula.
