Florida Golf Coalition to celebrate State Golf Day in Tallahassee

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Top representatives of Florida's golf industry will be in Tallahassee for "Florida Golf Day" on February 13 to share messages on the game's economic impact, youth development programs, sustainability practices and environmental benefits.

The size of Florida's direct golf economy is approximately $7.2 billion, generating a total economic impact of $13.8 billion, supporting nearly 167,000 jobs with an annual wage income of $4.7 billion. Those findings and more are part of a Florida Golf Economy Report, commissioned by GOLF 20/20 and prepared by SRI International (based on 2007 data). The study serves as part of the presentations at the Florida State Capitol in Tallahassee.
