New Orleans Tourism and PGA announce Zurich Classic Pro-Am Sweepstakes

NEW ORLEANS -- The New Orleans Tourism Marketing Corporation (NOTMC) is partnering with the Zurich Classic PGA TOUR event on an ambitious online sweepstakes filled with a bonanza of prizes including the chance to play golf in the Zurich Classic Monday Pro-Am, plus hotel stays, airfare, meals and more.

"Sports events are part of what makes New Orleans a destination of choice," said Mark Romig, President and CEO of New Orleans Tourism Marketing Corporation. "Traveling to New Orleans to see the excitement of the tournament is one thing, but actually playing in the Monday Pro-Am puts this sweepstakes on a whole new level."

NOTMC has used contests featuring vacation packages as a way to entice visitors for many years, but this partnership is a first. It is an important part of the "Follow Your NOLA" campaign that stresses adventures for the experiential traveler.

"We are excited to partner with NOTMC to offer one lucky group the chance to play with the pros during our Monday Pro-Am," said Steve Worthy, tournament director and CEO of the Fore!Kids Foundation, the non-profit organization that produces the Zurich Classic of New Orleans. "For the golf fan, this represents the ultimate sweepstakes, the opportunity to walk inside the ropes and tee it up with the world's best golfers," Worthy added.

The Sweepstakes winner will be drawn shortly after the sweepstakes ends on March 12 at 2pm CT.

Zurich Classic Pro-Am Sweepstakes
• Round-trip coach class domestic air transportation from a major airport nearest to winner's home (as determined by NOTMC in its sole discretion) to Louis Armstrong International Airport in New Orleans, LA, or a travel reimbursement for winner and three guests. Total sponsored travel cost not to exceed $800 per person.
• Three days/two nights accommodations for four (4) at the Hyatt French Quarter (800 Iberville Street, New Orleans, LA.) with check-in on Sunday, April 20, 2014.
• Dinner for winner and three guests at Red Fish Grill on Sunday, April 20, 2014.
• One team of four in the Monday, April 21, 2014 Zurich Classic Pro-Am at TPC Louisiana.
• Four tickets to the post-play Pro-Am Awards party on Monday, April 21, 2014.
• Complete golf club rental for winner and three guests (if needed)

Purse for the 2014 Zurich Classic of New Orleans golf tournament totals $6.8 million, with the winner taking home $1,224,000.
