BELLINGHAM, WASHINGTON – Dec. 1, 2004 – The new SteelFiber hybrid shaft by Aerotech is designed to optimize the performance in today’s Hybrid clubs.

With the recent gain in popularity of the hybrid utility clubs comes the need for a shaft that specifically addresses the performance requirements of these clubs. The new hybrid clubs offer the control of an iron with the distance and forgiveness of a fairway wood.

Aerotech’s new SteelFiber hybrid shaft enhances the performance of these clubs by incorporating over 59 miles of steel fiber on the surface of a lightweight graphite core. The steel fiber adds stability and accuracy while the graphite core promotes increased club head speed for greater distance making Aerotech’s SteelFiber hybrid shaft the natural choice for this style of club.

Aerotech offers the SteelFiber Hybrid shaft in two distinct designs, SteelFiber hls75 (Hybrid Long-iron Shaft) and the SteelFiber hfs75 (Hybrid Fairway Shaft).

With a tip diameter of .370" and weight of 75 grams the SteelFiber HLS75 is designed to optimize the performance of the hybrid long iron clubs by offering a torque low enough to control shots off the fairway and out of the rough and a tip flexible enough to get the ball airborne easily.

The SteelFiber HFS75, also in the 75-gram range, is designed for hybrid fairway woods with a .335" tip diameter. This shaft promotes distance with a slightly more flexible tip yet maintains control due to the 59 miles of steel fiber on its surface.
