Katherine Roberts, Founder of Yoga For Golfers® will be providing a yoga-based golf instruction series at Troon North in Scottsdale, AZ. The comprehensive series is designed to coordinate body and mind, ultimately increasing focus and endurance which will translate to more power and distance on course. This 8-session series will be held on each Tues. and Thurs. from Feb. 4 through Feb. 27 (5-6 PM).
Doug Hammer, PGA Director of Instruction at Troon North, will join Roberts in sessions one & eight, and will capture video and TrackMan data of each student. While Hammer addresses specific swing challenges common to golfers, Roberts will provide appropriate yoga-based solutions. According to Roberts, a Nike Golf Swoosh Elite member, the series will help build better posture (foundation of the golf swing), increase range of motion for more consistency and power, and will also include golf-specific yoga stretching and strengthening for a better putting stroke. Additionally, participants will gain insight on how to best prepare for a successful round, and will learn yoga poses to increase stamina and endurance both on-and-off the course.
All levels of flexibility and golf ability are welcome; previous yoga experience is not required.
