LITTLETON, Colo. -- The Golf Club at Ravenna, the luxury private community situated southwest of Denver managed by Billy Casper Golf, ranked 33rd on Golfweek's annual Top 100 "Best Residential Courses" list.
The top-50 ranking places the Jay Morrish-designed Ravenna in an elite class of residential courses. Based on 10 criteria, more than 350 raters throughout the country calculate scores to evaluate the courses.
"Morrish created a special course at Ravenna and we are excited to be placed among the best clubs in the nation," says Glenn Jacks, managing partner of the property. "The raters discovered what our staff and members take great pride in - an exceptional playing experience that makes you hungry for more."
The center of the Ravenna enclave, the course has won numerous accolades since opening. It appeals to both the skilled and novice golfer and features play from 5,009 to 7,263 yards, large undulating greens, a variety of shot choices and an extensive practice facility.
Situated on dramatic land in Waterton Canyon, the course offers 360-degree views of Pike National Forest, the Denver skyline, and the red-rock outcroppings of the Dakota Hogback. Members and their families enjoy unlimited access to the golf course and extensive practice range, in addition to an active schedule of events. Membership is available, but not required, of home owners.
The 634-acre Golf Club at Ravenna features homes carrying Old World Tuscan craftsmanship starting at $1.2 million and customizable lots starting in the $200,000s.
