CENTENNIAL, Colo. -- GolfTEC, the world leader in golf improvement, has placed nine of its Certified Personal Coaches on the Golf Digest magazine list of "Best Teachers In America," with James Kinney ranked No. 1 in the state of Nebraska.
Kinney, the owner and Director of Instruction at the GolfTEC Improvement Center in Omaha, is a multiple winner of Teacher of the Year honors from the Nebraska section of the PGA of America.
The "Best Teachers In America" for 2013-2014 is featured in the November issue of Golf Digest, which names its Top 50 overall, and lists the best in each state. The magazine compiles the list every two years, polling thousands of teaching professionals for opinions and evaluations of their peers.
Four coaches based at GolfTEC's home in Denver dominated the list of 12 selected in Colorado: No. 4 Patrick Nuber, No. 5 Ty Walker, No. 10 Kevin Cubbage and No. 11 Andy Hilts.
Also named to the states list were two GolfTEC coaches from Ohio - No. 5 Nick Paez and No. 10 Mitch Flemming, both of Cleveland - and two from Wisconsin - No. 4 Brendan Locke and No. 6 Kevin Kihslinger, both of Mequon.
"We're very proud to have nine of GolfTEC's coaches named among the top 500 golf instructors in the country, especially since this recognition is an endorsement by their fellow golf instructors and one of the golf industry's most respected publications," said Mike Clinton, GolfTEC co-founder and COO.
