e‐par USA drives sustainability at 2013 Crittenden Golf Conference

ALBANY, N.Y. -- e‐par USA is teaming up Crittenden Conferences, Inc., and Camelback Golf Club, to help foster environmentally‐responsible practices during the 2013 Crittenden Golf Conference, October 7‐9 in Phoenix, AZ. Camelback Golf Club, the site of the conference's golf outing, will be working with e‐par USA to become the first golf course in Arizona to operate with the assistance of the ISO 14001‐compliant e‐par Environmental Management System (EMS) for Golf.

"We're excited to be helping the Crittenden team in their efforts to make this year's conference a little more sustainable and to be working with the team at the Camelback Golf Club," says Kevin A. Fletcher, Ph.D., President & CEO of e‐par USA, Inc. "Our members are finding that the process of developing an EMS helps them identify areas for continued environmental improvement, enhances their ability to meet regulatory obligations, and provides a platform to manage environmental risks more effectively. I'm certain that the team at Camelback Golf Club will experience these same benefits."

"Using the conference to help drive further environmental improvement at the site of our golf outing matches well with our company's overall commitment to sustainability," says Shayna R. Stinson, Executive Director of Crittenden Conferences, Inc. "Partnering with e‐par USA and Camelback Golf Club in this way is also a great way to help communicate and promote the positive role that golf and golf professionals can play in their communities as environmental leaders."

Along with helping Camelback Golf Club's environmental performance, e‐par USA is also providing access to the e‐par Certified EMS Professional program. This certification for individuals has been developed in compliance with ISO 17024, the global benchmark for organizations operating personnel certification programs. "I'm eager to see first‐hand how the e‐par EMS integrates with and improves on all of our existing environmental management plans and procedures," adds Kirk Hardin, Director of Golf Grounds at Camelback Golf Club who will be leading on both the site EMS and professional certification. "We're always looking to be on the leading edge, and the adoption of a sophisticated and well respected environmental management standard through e‐par USA makes good sense for our club."
