ORLANDO, Fla. -- David Feherty travels to Santa Monica, Calif., to probe the tortured comedic mind of award-winning writer, actor and producer Larry David for the season finale of FEHERTY, airing Monday, Aug. 12 at 9 p.m. ET.
During what surprisingly turned out to be the season’s most golf-centric conversation, David – co-creator of the critically acclaimed network sitcom, Seinfeld, and creator of the current HBO improvisational comedy series, Curb Your Enthusiasm – rages and laughs about his unrelenting addiction to golf, his obsession with golf training aids, his inability to see Europe as America’s Ryder Cup foe, and golf’s unique capacity to leave him humiliated and miserable. David’s appearance on FEHERTY will be coming off the premiere of his comedic original HBO film, Clear History.
David Feherty, who has received critical acclaim over the first three seasons of the series – both for his interviewing style and offbeat brand of humor – has been dubbed “one of the funniest men in the game” by Yahoo! Sports. Similarly, the FEHERTY series has received rave reviews, having been described as “a cross between Oprah Winfrey and Johnny Carson” by The New York Times. The current season has been highlighted by interviews with Jack Nicklaus, Bobby Knight, Lee Westwood, Stacy Lewis, David Duval and, most recently, the season’s highest-rated hour with Keegan Bradley. Since becoming a part of NBC Sports, Golf Channel’s Monday primetime viewership – anchored by FEHERTY and BIG BREAK – is up 40 percent.
