State Open of Virginia champion played Fourteen Golf RM-12 Wedges

IRVINE, Calif. -- Fourteen Golf, a global leader in the development of golf equipment design, announced today that again the company's highly engineered RM-12 Wedges have been associated with yet another victory - the State Open of Virginia.

According to Fourteen Golf COO Marcy Kamoda, "To win the State Open of Virginia twice in a row is remarkable, and this year he won by 10 strokes. What an exceptional performance. We commend him on his great play and thank him for his continued support of our RM-12 Wedges."

The State Open of Virginia champion played the RM-12 Wedges to set up makeable birdie putts.

These tour inspired wedges feature expanded trapezoidal grooves which impart exceptional spin and rotational speed as the RM acronym implies - "Revolutions per Minute." They help golfers consistently enhance spin retention, particularly on partial shots. Last weekend RM-12 Wedges were also played to win the Manulife Financial LPGA Classic.

"This State Open of Virginia victory takes our season's win total to 13 in addition to dozens of Top-10 finishes. We are thrilled how our RM-12 Wedges have affected these professionals and their lives," added Kamoda.

Fourteen Golf has garnered a reputation throughout the world as being the preeminent wedge designer and the Golf Digest "Hot List" ranked RM-12 Wedge verifies it. This tour inspired, high performance wedge features the same large trapezoidal grooves as its predecessor, the RM 11-Wedge. These uniquely shaped trapezoidal grooves have been enlarged by 15% as compared to other Fourteen Golf wedges.

This increase in overall groove volume enhances spin retention particularly on partial shots. In addition, these high quality grooves perform well in both dry and wet conditions.

"In addition to providing excellent spin and control, the RM-12 Wedges are solid at impact. The professionals like how the head provides stability," adds Kamoda.

Touring Professionals appreciate the company's original "reverse taper design" so the engineers used it as a platform but increased the weight distribution on the upper blade to create a "reverse muscle design." In effect, the weight is perfectly proportioned on the blade and club head which creates stability through impact. Now golfers have better control from any lie. No more missing greens.

In addition to the vast amount of professional golfers playing Fourteen Golf equipment, the company has a professional Fourteen Golf staff team which includes PGA Professionals John Mallinger, Arjun Atwal, Ryuji Imada and Chad Collins.
