Royal & Awesome joins forces with Golf Tour Operators Consortium

Scotland's most spectacular golf clothing brand, Royal & Awesome, is putting the 'shorts' in 'short break' after offering free apparel to golf travel organisers.

The deal, with the Golf Tour Operators Consortium (GTOC), Europe's largest independent golf travel group, will see Royal & Awesome give away a free pair of trousers or shorts to customers booking or travelling with a group of 12, or more, through GTOC tour operators until the end of 2013 - perfect for the group organiser to keep as a treat or a great addition to any prize table.

The partnership with Royal & Awesome will also involve golf events organised by GTOC, with the brand providing prizes and clothes for organisers and some lucky participants.

Graeme Smeaton, Royal & Awesome's brand director, said: "Royal & Awesome is a brand that focusses on having fun with golf; people rarely have more fun on the golf course than when they are on holiday or playing in special events, so working with GTOC is a fantastic fit for us. We're getting our great product in the right people's hands - or on their legs - during the right occasions so we are really excited about the partnership."

Jim Nicholson, commercial manager at GTOC added: "Royal & Awesome is a fantastic brand to be associated with and our clients will really enjoy standing out from the crowd on their golf holidays this year."

Royal & Awesome's range of eye-catching golf trousers, shorts and hats are 'perfect for the pars and the bars'. The brand has recently launched plus-twos as well as women's pants, shorts and skorts in their dazzling designs, complemented by a range of men's and women's shirts, socks and belts.

The 'Awesomes' - the brand's range of brightly designed golf trousers - build on the wonderful heritage and history of golf in Scotland by adding a whole lot of fun and colour, and are guaranteed to make an impact on the course, the clubhouse or the corporate jolly. All of the 'bottoms' come with a free golf tool/bottle opener, which is a nod to the strap line of 'for the pars and the bars'.

GTOC, formed in 2011, is a consortium comprising seven established UK golf tour operators and is Europe's Largest Independent Golf Travel Group with a collective buying power close to €10m and accounting for over 50 per cent of the outbound golf market from the UK.
