SALT LAKE CITY, Utah -- OGIO, a global leader in golf bag, apparel and accessories design, announces the addition of Peter Woolf to the sales management team. The all-star team boasts a collection of golf managers with over 80 years of industry experience, collectively. Woolf contributes 21 years of sales, brand development, relationship maintenance, and growth-forecast experience in the sporting goods industry to OGIO. OGIO has strengthened its golf sales team over the past three years which has resulted in average annual growth of 34% over this time period. The addition of Woolf is key as OGIO expands its strategic growth focus with larger golf and sports retailers in the US and Canada.
As National Account Manager of OGIO, Woolf is expected to handle National Accounts by applying his success and similar-product background from Callaway Golf to this fresh endeavor.
“I’m excited to continue to add key industry veterans to our growing management team at OGIO Golf. It’s important for us to build a management team that has ‘been there’ and can help navigate our accelerating progress,” said Tom Gocke, Global Vice President of OGIO Golf. “Peter has ‘been there’ in the past and embodies the experience, passion, dedication, and knowledge that we strive for at OGIO.”
Prior to agreeing to join the OGIO team, Woolf held the National Account Manager and Sales Manager positions at Callaway Golf. His responsibilities included the continued developmental responsibilities related to Callaway Golf's largest company accounts as well as creating and managing an industry leading Brand Ambassador program; Woolf optimized results. Before securing his most recently noted roles at Callaway Golf, he spent 2 years as a Strategic Account Manager, working with Callaway's critical, regional and strategic partners. The first 12 years Woolf excelled as a top performer annually in his role as an Inside Sales Representative, driving product distribution and exceeding revenue targets.
