A canned food drive for Brunswick Family Assistance that raised more than 15,000 pounds of canned goods was organized by Sea Trail Golf Resort & Conference Center, located in Sunset Beach, N.C. During the food drive, golfers who donated three canned goods each received reduced rates on all three of Sea Trail’s championship golf courses.

This was the second year Sea Trail Golf Resort sponsored a food drive for Brunswick Family Assistance. Last year Sea Trail raised more than nine thousand pounds of canned goods for the organization.

“We really appreciate how golfers got behind this effort,” said Tom Plankers, president of golf at Sea Trail Resort & Conference Center. “Brunswick Family Assistance serves a great purpose in our community and we feel fortunate to have the means to help them any way we can.”
