Children's Course hires Dennis Schrag new executive director

GLADSTONE, Ore. -- The Children's Course has hired Dennis Schrag to be its new Executive Director.

“Dennis will be a great asset to The Children's Course,” said the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Andy Miller. “Dennis brings a wealth of experience and personal contacts in the golf and media industries. His relationship building skills will enhance our development efforts and broaden our donor base.”

Dennis Schrag comes to The Children's Course after two years at Nike where he was an Account Manager for Nike Golf and a Demand Planning Analyst in the Global Equipment division. Dennis is also a ten-year veteran of the broadcast media industry. He was a sports anchor and reporter in Illinois, Mississippi and Oregon. Dennis holds a bachelor’s degree in Communication Arts from the University of Wisconsin and an MBA from the University of Oregon.

About The Children's Course:
The First Tee of The Children's Course is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to providing golfing opportunities for youth and families. The golf course is a 9-hole, par 3 layout. It is funded by private donations from foundations, corporations and individuals. A facility unique to The First Tee of The Children's Course, the Erling Jacobsen Learning Center, features a 5-hole short course for teaching, practice and play.

The First Tee of The Children's Course outreach programs are dedicated to nurturing disadvantaged children ages 7 to 17. These programs build values that strengthen character and guide youth to becoming responsible adults through the game of golf.
