PHOENIX -- Players Towel, the preferred golf towel by Tour players featuring high performance microfiber waffle technology, is riding a successful wave with the number one ranked female golfer in the world as she claimed the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship at Pinnacle Country Club in Rogers, Arkansas.
The 24-year-old earned her 5th LPGA victory of the year (8th of her career) and tied the record for most wins by a South Korean LPGA pro in a single season. With this recent win, she now leads in money, victories and the Player of the Year points race.
The $300,000 first place check was nice but this young player has her sights set on this week's U.S. Women's Open at Sebonack Golf Club in Southampton, New York. If she manages to tame the Nicklaus/Doak design and be crowned the winner Sunday night, then she will tie the all time record held by Babe Zaharias and be only the second player in LPGA history to win the first three majors of the season.
"Players Towel is known for its exceptional quality and outstanding performance and we have found a perfect match with this young phenom on the LPGA Tour," said company founder, Patrick Le Vine. "We are expecting an exciting U.S. Open and will be on her bag once again as she continues her quest as the best woman golfer in the world."
In the past two years alone, Players Towel has proudly served the winners of 50 PGA and LPGA tournaments. Also, since 2010, Players Towel has celebrated wins at two PGA Championships, three U.S. Opens and two Masters.
