Matrix Shafts' OZIK M3 Black Tie helps drive U.S. Open Champion

ANAHEIM, Calif. -- Matrix Shafts would like to congratulate the U.S. Open Champion who trusted the OZIK M3 Black Tie in his TaylorMade R1 driver and TaylorMade RBZ Stage 2 Tour 3-wood, to win his first Major.

Introduced as the next gen to the successful M2 series, and the first model of the Matrix Flight System, the low-launching, low-spinning OZIK M3 Black Tie is designed on the industry leading and patented HD platform. This HD Design technology refers to the hexadecagonal (16-sided) internal platform on which the shaft design is built. Using the HD technology, the Matrix R&D team was able to reach new levels of structural strength in the shaft, providing additional stability in the tip section, without adding to the overall weight. With its flat, lower spinning ball flight, it is often preferred by players with higher ball speeds. This is the fourth victory for the OZIK M3 Black Tie this year.

"Having a first place finish, especially at a Major, is very exciting," said Director of Tour Operations, Joe Miera. "The Matrix Flight System shafts continue to be models that the players are asking for and relying on week after week. The Matrix R&D team did a fantastic job with the design of the Matrix Flight System shafts and we are confident that we will continue to see more wins with the M3 Black Tie, Q3 Red Tie, and X3 White Tie as the season continues."

The OZIK M3 Black Tie joins the mid-launching, mid-spinning Q3 Red Tie, and high-spinning, low-launching X3 White Tie to complete the Matrix Flight System. Contact your nearest Matrix Dealer for more info.
