Fourteen Golf's RM-12 Wedges finish high at LPGA Championship

IRVINE, Calif. -- Fourteen Golf, a global leader in the development of golf equipment design, announced today that two LPGA Professionals played the Golf Digest "Hot List" award winning RM-12 Wedges at the Locust Hill Country Club to lock in Top-5 finishes at the Wegmans LPGA Championship.

According to Fourteen Golf COO Marcy Kamoda, "Heavy rainfall made a difficult golf course even harder to play. However, the professionals who played the RM-12 Wedges had a clear advantage. In wet and soggy conditions, the RM-12 Wedges maintain the majority of their spin, unlike most other wedges."

In wet conditions the RM-12 Wedges are able to consistently maintain 80% of its spin while the two top selling wedges reduced their spin performance by close to half. The RM-12 Wedges let the ball spin phenomenally whether it's in wet conditions and/or stuck in really bad lies. "These claims have been verified through internally testing," added Kamoda.

One LPGA Professional played RM-12 Wedges in a 52-degree and a 58-degree to shoot a remarkable 67, her lowest round of the event. She clearly didn't allow the weather conditions to affect her play. In fact, her RM-12 Wedges provided her confidence as she could still swing aggressively, even in bad lies. She also played the Fourteen Golf TC-910FG Irons in a five-iron through pitching wedge to clinch a Top-5 finish - her career best.

"Sand bunkers flank most of the putting greens on the Locust Hill Golf Course, consequently our RM-12 Wedges were used to not only get out of the sand but to spin and stop the ball in wet conditions, added Kamoda.

The second Top-5 taken at the Wegmans LPGA Championship for Fourteen Golf was accomplished by a LPGA Professional playing three RM-12 Wedges; 50-degree, 54-degree, and 58-degree. "This outstanding LPGA Professional has been playing our wedges for years and it was enjoyable watching her play them last weekend," added Kamoda.

Fourteen Golf knows the importance of the short game. The company has garnered a reputation throughout the world as being the preeminent wedge designer and the new RM-12 Wedge verifies it. This tour inspired, high performance wedge features the same large trapezoidal grooves as its predecessor, the RM 11-Wedge. These expanded grooves impart exceptional spin and rotational speed as the RM acronym implies - "Revolution per Minute."

These uniquely shaped trapezoidal grooves have been enlarged by 15% as compared to other Fourteen Golf wedges. This increase in overall groove volume enhances spin retention particularly on partial shots. In addition, these high quality grooves perform well in both dry and wet conditions.

"Larger grooves translate to maximum spin with exceptional control. They are also hand crafted to provide consistency and precision," added Kamoda

In addition to the vast amount of professional golfers playing Fourteen Golf equipment, the company has a professional Fourteen Golf staff team which includes PGA Professionals John Mallinger, Arjun Atwal, Ryuji Imada and Chad Collins.
