SANFORD, Fla. -- It was just a little over a month ago that Esteban Toledo became the first Mexican to win on the Champions Tour when he sank a par putt with his RIFE Island Series Aruba putter on the third hole of a playoff at the Insperity Championship.
The 50-year-old Toledo was back on top of the leaderboard this past weekend at The Regions Tradition held at Shoal Creek in Alabama and it appeared at times that he just might win his 2nd Champions Tour victory in 30 days. On Sunday, he finished just 3 strokes behind the leader and his T-3rd Place Finish moved him up to #5 on the Charles Schwab Cup Points List.
Toledo currently Ranks 3rd in Putting Average on the Champions Tour with a 1.712 avg. and 2nd in Putts Per Round with a 28.24 avg. which he credits to his RIFE Island Series Aruba putter.
"Esteban is playing the best golf of his career right now," said Jim Barfield, V.P. of Tour Operations for RIFE Golf. "He picked up one of our Island Series Aruba putters at the end of last season and couldn't put it down. He said he loves the way the ball comes off the face and the way he's putting right now speaks volumes as to how much our RollGroove Technology has helped him with the flatstick. I fully expect to see him win at least one or two more times before this year is over."
Esteban Toledo is just one of the many non-endorsed Professional Tour Players who choose to play a RIFE putter even though they're not paid to play it. "The Tour Players play our putter because it helps them earn a bigger paycheck on Sunday," said Jim Barfield, V.P. of Tour Operations for RIFE Golf, "and we're very proud of that. Our RollGroove Technology grips and lifts the ball into an instant forward roll and gets it on line and headed towards the cup quicker than any other putter in the industry. If it's good enough for the best golfers in the world, you can bet it's going to help you sink more putts as well."
About RIFE Golf
RIFE Golf is the true innovator behind horizontal grooved face putter technology with a patent on specifically sized grooves since 1997. These precisely spaced grooves allow the putter to gently press into the cover of the ball and grip and lift it into an instant forward roll. RIFE states, "just as grooves in irons help control spin so do grooves in a putter face." Other companies are now trying to imitate this patented technology but the spacing of the grooves is the true key to the gripping and lifting effect of grooved face putter technology. Horizontal RollGrooveTM faced putters create the truest "no skid" roll in golf no matter where you hit the ball on the putter face.
