Alabama's Pursell Farms offers Fathers' Day stay-and-play package

SYLACAUGA, Ala. -- Pursell Farms -- the renowned resort less than an hour from Birmingham that is home to highly acclaimed FarmLinks Golf Club -- is hosting a weekend of activities for Father's Day, June 15-16.

The "Father's Day Stay, Play and Feast" package includes:

• An overnight feast and unlimited golf package for two
• A sleeve of Father's Day golf balls and take home grilling hobo set
• Long drive contest with chance to win TaylorMade RBZ Stage II driver
• Lunch, snacks and non-alcoholic beverages throughout the day
• Four chances to win closest to the pin, and more

There are two options to choose from. Option 1 is the two-day event that includes all of the above with a rate of $549 for a cabin and $599 for a cottage, double occupancy. Option 2 is the Sunday one-day rate, which is $99 for fathers and $135 for other guests and includes a Father's Day Swag Bag, sleeve of golf balls, lunch, snacks and unlimited use of the practice range.

Check in on Saturday, June 15 begins at 4 p.m. Chipping and putting on Master's Row or a nine-hole round (separate fee) at the award-winning FarmLinks Golf Club will be available. New Executive Chef Andrea Griffith will present a "Decadent Dinner for Dad" in the clubhouse featuring cold beer, soft drinks, dry rubs and grilling. On Sunday, breakfast for overnight guests will be served and all-you-can-play tee times begin at 8 a.m.
