The new Golf Town location in St. John's is unlike any other golf store around and is designed to empower shoppers by allowing them to test drive equipment using an in-store putting green, a trio of hitting bays and the latest, high-tech golf simulator. A Grand Opening celebration along with a free shopping spree and giveaways will herald the arrival of the company's 56th Canadian location on Thursday, May 23, 2013. The 15,695 -square foot retail location will offer unequalled selection and competitive pricing, a hallmark of Golf Town. The St. John's Golf Town store is located at 50 White Rose Drive near the city centre and will offer a vast selection of brand name golfing equipment, apparel and accessories, as well as a full range of Golf Town Academy services and indoor lessons.

Golf Town's Grand Opening activities are May 23-26, 2013 with Olympic Gold Medalist Brad Gushue, a Canadian curler from Mount Pearl, Newfoundland and Labrador attending May 23rd's ribbon cutting ceremonies. Gushue will also participate in a putting contest with proceeds benefiting the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Foundation.
