LONDONDERRY, N.H. -- Danish brand ECCO - a leading global manufacturer of innovative footwear - announces the promotion of Jackie Kirkwood to General Sales Manager, ECCO USA Golf Division.
In her expanded role, Kirkwood's responsibilities include supporting key accounts and managing internal operations while overseeing two ECCO Golf Territory Managers and a team of independent sales reps. She had served as East Coast Sales Manager since joining the company in 2011.
A golf industry veteran, Kirkwood has held high-level sales positions for more than 20 years, such as Director of Sales for CMC Golf, National Sales Manager at Imperial Golf Headwear, National Sales Manager for Nancy Lopez Golf, Vice President of Sales for Devant Golf and District Sales Manager at Penn Sports. Kirkwood was also a Buyer of Softgoods at Nevada Bob's Golf and Vice President of Purchasing at Player's World.
"Jackie has played an integral role in helping drive the exponential sales growth we've achieved over the past several years, from the initial wave of Golf Street through to the launches of BIOM Golf, BIOM Hybrid and, now, Tour Hybrid," says David Helter, ECCO USA Specialty Sales Director. "Her knowledge of the off-course and green grass markets is truly exceptional, and her superb relationships with our partners will help us to continue to grow for many years to come."
The 2013 ECCO Golf collection features a broad range of new styles highlighted by Tour Hybrid, the game's first crossover model that features a refined, traditional leather upper design.
Ideal for the discerning player seeking shoes that seamlessly transition from the boardroom to the car to the country club, Tour Hybrid is built atop the award-winning Street outsole featuring the ECCO dynamic traction system (E-dts). This patented design boasts approximately 100 molded traction bars and 800-plus traction angles. Constructed from TPU - a highly durable, wear-resistant material - these elements provide excellent grip in all conditions.
ECCO Golf shoes are worn in competition by scores of international Tour stars, including Fred Couples, Graeme McDowell, Thomas Bjorn, Thongchai Jaidee, Stuart Appleby, Andreas Hartø, JB Hansen, Belén Mozo, Gerina Piller, Caroline Masson and Line Vedel Hansen.
One of the few major shoe manufacturers in the world to own and manage every step of the shoemaking process - from leather production through its own shoe factories all the way to its stores - ECCO adheres to the design philosophy that "the shoe must follow the foot." This approach allows the company to craft footwear that combines style and comfort with uncompromising quality and innovative technology. A leading global brand, ECCO was founded in 1963 by Karl Toosbuy and remains family owned. Headquartered in the Danish towns of Bredebro and Tønder, the ECCO footwear group employs nearly 20,000 people worldwide. Its products can be found in 4,000 branded sales locations in more than 90 countries.
