Mark Jeffrey new general manager at Horseshoe Bay Resort, Texas

HORSESHOE BAY, Texas -- Mark Jeffrey, who has served as the interim General Manager of Horseshoe Bay Resort Marriott since last December, has been named the new Resort General Manager, permanently securing the position after a nationwide search was conducted last fall.

Jeffrey, who most recently served as a Regional Vice President for Rock Resorts, brings more than 15-years of General Manager success to Horseshoe Bay Resort, including several high-profile leadership roles at several of the world's iconic golf resort destinations.

Jeffrey's background includes a successful tenure as the General Manager of the world renowned Doral Golf Resort and Spa. Under his leadership, the 693-room golf resort increased leisure and package room nights, reduced expenditures and hosted the Resort's annual nationally-televised PGA tournament.

Most Recently, Jeffrey led the growth of Rock Resort's Coastal Collection, managing and driving revenue for acclaimed international resort properties including: Half Moon , Rose Hall, Jamacia; Bimini Bay Resort and Marina, Bahamas; The Landings, Rodney Bay, St. Lucia; Balcones Del Atlantico, Las Terenas, Dominican Republic; Tempo Miami, Miami, FL and Hotel Alama, Esterillos, Costa Rica.
