ONEIDA NATIONS HOMELAND, N.Y. -- Turning Stone Resort Casino, one of the country's top golf destinations featuring three premier 18-hole courses, has announced two spring/summer stay-and-play packages that should satiate even the most passionate golfers.
"The Champion Package" includes rounds on all of three of the resort's award-winning courses: Atunyote, designed by Tom Fazio and site of the annual Notah Begay III Foundation Challenge; Kaluhyat, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr.; and Shenendoah, designed by Rick Smith.
Golfers choosing the two-night Champion package are entitled to unlimited same-day play on Kaluhyat and Shenendoah, and one round at Atunyote (with $100 replays). There also is complimentary golf at Sandstone Hollow, the award-winning nine-hole par-3 course that winds through woods and wetlands and that was also designed by Smith.
Rates start at $500 per person, double occupancy, which includes lodging accommodations at the Hotel. Upgrades to the Tower or The Lodge are available.
Pressed for time but still need a golf fix? Turning Stone's "Golfer's Getaway," which includes one night's lodging at the Hotel, unlimited golf on the arrival afternoon at Shenendoah or Kaluhyat, and another 18 holes on one of those courses the next morning.
The "Getaway" package also includes lunch, a drink at the 19th hole, and complimentary use of the Tower Fitness Center. Rates start at $240/person (double occupancy) and accommodation upgrades are available.
Both packages run from May 1 through Oct. 31, 2013.
Turning Stone Resort Casino has recently received a number of golf honors. Besides the three 18-hole layouts—Atunyote, Kaluhyat, and Shenendoah—being named to Golfweek's "Top 40 Best Casino Courses" list, the property has been recognized by Golf World as among its "Best Golf Resorts" and "Best Casino Courses"; by Golf Magazine as a "Premier Resort"; and by Golf Odyssey as one of the "World's Best Golf Destinations."
