GolfAC.com announces expansion of travel, tee-time company

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. -- GolfAC.com, the largest golf vacation and Internet tee-time company based in New Jersey, today announced a significant business expansion for the 2007 golf season, according to company founder and CEO Mike Charlton.

The expansion will include a new, larger facility, headquartered in Atlantic City, which will house a brand new state-of-the-art telecommunications system, golf vacation packaging software and additional golf vacation processors.

“This is an exciting time for our business, the local golf industry and Atlantic City as a golf destination,” said Charlton. “This expansion will benefit more traveling golfers than ever before and we will continue to provide a seamless golf vacation experience they have all come to expect.”

The expansion comes at a key time during an anticipated increase in golf rounds, from 9,000 in 2006 to 18,000 rounds for the 2007 season, according to GolfAC.com’s forecast.

“We’re looking forward to a dynamite 2007 season,” said Jon Talese, GolfAC.com’s director of marketing. “We’re able to offer top-notch championship courses, an unparalleled nightlife and the hottest gaming action in the area. We take all of those aspects and create tailor-made packages for the individual or groups to make it easy to experience all that Atlantic City has to offer.”

With the combined marketing efforts of GOLFAC.COM the Atlantic City Convention and Visitor’s Authority, the Greater Atlantic City Golf Association and Smith O'Keefe and Associates, we are positioned for unprecedented growth in golf rounds from out of town guests.”

GolfAC.com recently completed a strategic partnership with entrepreneurs John Jackson and Jon Talese, who have acquired 50% of the equity of GolfAC.com. Jackson and Talese, who have been in business together since 1986, bring to the table key experience and knowledge of the local market. GolfAC.com was formally ACTours and Entertainment, which was founded as a sole proprietorship in 2000. In early 2006, AC Tours and Entertainment became GolfAC.com.
According to Charlton, “We wanted growth, web-based distribution and guidance. These gentlemen have been credited with putting Atlantic City’s casinos and hotels on the internet and have pioneered web-based hotel reservation distribution for the establishments.” Charlton continued, “Together, we will bring to the golf traveler what they have needed for so long, a convenient, one-stop shop to travel, golf and stay in Atlantic City, and with the knowledge and experience Mr. Jackson and Mr. Talese bring to the table, the sky is the limit.”

Talese and Jackson are co-owners of ACHotelExperts.com, which provides individual, groups and convention groups to Atlantic City and South Jersey with hotel reservations. They are also the co-owners of GOLFAC.com, the premiere golf vacation and on-line tee-time reservation provider for Atlantic City.
