GREENFIELD CENTER, N.Y. -- Kent Tarkleson, Peak Performance Golf Owner and Director of Instruction of the Peak Performance Golf Academy at Saratoga National Golf Club, has gained Certified Golf Fitness Instructor status through the Titleist Performance Institute. This Titleist Performance Institute Golf Fitness Program was specifically designed to teach Golf and Fitness Professionals how to identify and overcome any physical restrictions that are limiting a golfer's potential. This industry leading curriculum features the latest in golf-specific health and fitness, from golf swing biomechanics, to physical screening techniques, to exercise prescriptions, to the most recent research and development in the field of 2D and 3D golf swing analysis, and is taught by experts from the Titleist Performance Institute's Health and Fitness Advisory Board.
Physical factors such as strength, flexibility, endurance, stability and posture all influence swing mechanics. Too often, players develop a fitness regimen that is not directly related to their golf swing. All TPI exercises and physical limitation diagnostics are geared toward helping PPG clients reach their potential.
“Peak Performance Golf” clients are put through a diagnostic workup to assess the physical limitations that may be contributing to their faulty swing mechanics. A custom tailored conditioning program is then designed to help improve flexibility, strength, range of motion, balance and other physical factors so that clients have a better chance of being able to produce an efficient and repeatable golf swing.
