SHELTON, Wash. -- Salish Cliffs Golf Club at Little Creek Casino Resort - the Squaxin Island Tribe's award-winning entertainment property located a convenient, scenic drive from Seattle and Olympia - is hosting the 12th Annual Squaxin Island Museum Tournament on Monday, June 3.
The scramble-format tournament includes 18 holes of golf, range balls, two drink tickets per player, tee gift, awards dinner and auction. Prizes will be awarded at a banquet following the tournament. Registration opens at 8 a.m. and there will be a 10 a.m. shotgun start on the Gene Bates-designed course that has garnered numerous national accolades since opening in 2011.
Proceeds from the tournament directly benefit the Squaxin Island Museum, Library & Learning Center, also known as "The Home of Our Sacred Belongings." The tax deductible donation will be used to support mentorships, educational programs and job opportunities. Price is $800 per team, or $200 per player.
"This is a special event for the Squaxin Island Tribe and we're excited it can once again be hosted on its home course here at Salish Cliffs," said Salish Cliffs Head Golf Professional David Kass, PGA. "It's truly a win-win for everyone involved. The players get to experience one of the top courses in the country and their donations go toward a great cause."
