A twenty-eight foot putt on the 72nd hole stood between the former Florida Gator and his first PGA Tour victory.
"I read it right away," the Zurich Classic champion said. "I knew exactly the break on it and everything. I just told myself, I haven't made one of considerable length this week. And I was like, you know, 'if it's my time, this putt needs to go in.'"
Using the SuperStroke Mid Slim 2.0, the four-time All-American rolled in six-straight birdies, most consecutive on TOUR this year, ultimately tying the course record with a final round 64. The Mid Slim 2.0 also helped him finish 3rd for the week in strokes-gained (1.768) and keep his PGA Tour leading consecutive cuts-made streak intact at 23. On top of all this, the former Florida Gator leads the PGA Tour in birdies on the year with 220.
A SuperStroke Slim 3.0 was also used to finish solo 3rd at the Zurich. This was the 2012 Waste Management Phoenix Open champion's highest finish since that win.
Winnings for the week push SuperStroke Golf totals over $15 million after adding on just under $2 million at TPC Louisiana.
SuperStroke grips now feature a new high-tech PU material with Cross Traction technology. The Cross Traction design will improve the feel and tackiness of the grip. Adding this to the patented non-taper technology further increases consistency and lowers scores for every level of golfer, even TOUR professionals. With over $50 million won on Tour, SuperStroke continues to be the #1 jumbo putter grips played on the PGA Tour.
