New York's Turning Stone Resort Casino offers putting clinics

ONEIDA NATION HOMELANDS -- The premier golf destination in Central New York, Turning Stone Resort Casino is taking aim at helping golfers improve their putting skills this season, with the return of its AimPoint Green Reading Fundamentals School.

Designed for everyone from the recreational golfer to the tour professional, the one-day clinics at Turning Stone are held on select Saturdays late spring through early autumn, from 9 a.m. to noon at the resort's Shenendoah Golf Course. Under the direction of Turning Stone teaching professional Marty Nowicki, a Certified AimPoint Instructor, the AimPoint Green Reading Fundamentals School debuts Saturday, May 4.

The revolutionary AimPoint teaching method is based on exclusive, highly accurate technology that shows golfers the most effective and reliable ways to determine the direction and precise amount of break for any putt. Other key skills taught include:

- How to accurately identify slope
- How slope direction and grade affect break
- How position on the slope influences break and speed
- How to identify position on the slope
- How to handle changing or multiple slopes
- How to determine optimum approach shot strategies

Each clinic is limited to only eight golfers, with registration fee for $200 per person. Scheduled Saturdays are May 4, 11, 18; June 1, 8, 15; July 13, 20; Aug. 3, 10; Sept. 7 and 14.

For those who wish to polish their game further, the Golf Dome and Golf Superstore at Turning Stone's Sportsplex is the premier year-round golf training center in Central New York.
