Dunning Golf announces staff players recorded career seasons

MARKHAM, Ontario -- Trend-setting performance apparel designer Ralph Dunning and his company, Dunning Golf, announce that staff players Zach Johnson, John Senden, Craig Barlow and Brian Gay had career seasons in 2006 while enjoying the game-enhancing characteristics of the brand’s proprietary technical fabrics.

Johnson’s remarkable season included competing in his first Ryder Cup and finishing No. 24 on the PGA Tour money list. Senden and Barlow also earned the most money of their careers, with the former capturing his first PGA Tour victory at the John Deere Classic and winning the Australian Open Championship. Gay ranked 3rd and 5th, respectively, in putts per round and scrambling, while earning more than $1 million.

“I’m very proud of our staff players’ accomplishments,” says Dunning, company founder and principal designer. “We’ve created an athletic and classic apparel system that helps players succeed at the highest level.”

“I see so many players adjusting their clothes before each shot,” says Johnson. “With Dunning Golf, I always feel comfortable and that helps me focus on performing my best regardless of the conditions.”

In total, Dunning Golf’s staff of PGA and Nationwide Tour players earned nearly $8 million this season. Johnson and Senden also earned additional honors – the former qualified for the 2006 Tour Championship, and the latter will compete for Australia in the 2006 World Golf Championships - Barbados World Cup, to be held Dec. 7-10 at Sandy Lane Resort’s Country Club Course in Saint James, Barbados.

All Dunning Golf pieces incorporate the company’s proprietary fabric technologies and feature golf-specific cuts for freedom of movement throughout all phases of the swing. It is the only golf brand to exclusively use premium technical fabrics in each of its pieces.

Dunning Golf’s Spring 2007 collection features compression undergarments, polos, mock necks, shorts, pants, pullovers, thermal tops, outerwear and rainwear. It includes performance characteristics such as increased airflow, moisture wicking, enhanced breath ability, UV protection and permanent moisture management.

Dunning Golf performance apparel is available at the finest on- and off-course shops throughout North America. The complete Spring 2007 collection retails from $35 for select undergarments to $199 for some outerwear. Shipping to retailers will commence January 2007 and conclude March 1.
