MISSOULA, Mont. -- Sun Mountain's Speed Cart was a revolutionary introduction in 1999. Golfers were presented with an ergonomic, foldable, three-wheeled push cart that required no assembly. It was sturdy, perfectly balanced, and it positioned golfers' backs, arms and shoulders in their most natural positions. This was something traditional two-wheeled pull carts could not and still do not offer. Sun Mountain has continually improved upon and added to the Speed Cart line. Improvements to the patented original Speed Cart V1 design have continued. In the Speed Cart V1, Sun Mountain has added adjustable front-wheel alignment for perfect tracking, folding bag brackets for even smaller folded footprint and adjustable bungee bag straps that quick-release. Additional standard accessories have also grown to include a tire pump, hand brake that locks for parking, Greenskeep sand/seed mix bottle, an umbrella holder on the cart handle for an open umbrella, and on the cart frame for umbrella storage when not in use.

In 2005, Sun Mountain introduced the self-propelled Speed E Cart. The Speed E Cart is a completely foldable, electronic cart that allows golfers the enjoyment and health benefits of walking the course while the cart does all of the work. Speed E Cart is easy to operate with cruise control and dynamic braking that keep the cart at a consistent speed. Golfers just walk behind and steer. Aside from being power-assisted, Speed E Cart includes a heavier duty construction and an improved frame shape that wraps around the bag securing it without cart straps. Speed E Cart includes all of the standard accessories of the V1 along with a seat racket for a cart seat (sold separately, $29). New for 2007 is an upgraded accessory panel to include a
padded valuables box.

For 2007, Sun Mountain is introducing Speed Cart V2. V2 offers the engineering enhancements of the Speed E Cart without the motor. V2 includes the improved frame, heavier duty construction, strapless bag brackets and an upgraded accessory panel. In addition, a rental version of the Speed Cart V2 is available for pro shops. Optional accessories include a Sun Mountain golf or UV umbrella, Cool-Paq cooler, Speed-Paq bag for extra storage, cart seat, cart mitts that smartly attach to cart handle, and cart cover.
