Great Lakes Golf Course Products to be Prestwick Golf Group

Great Lakes Golf Course Products announced it plans to officially change its name to the Prestwick Golf Group. The name change will become effective January 1, 2007. Accompanying the name change is a new Prestwick Golf Group logo as part of their re-branding initiative.

Great Lakes President Matt Morse said the name change is a sign of the company’s substantial growth as the market leader in the golf course furnishings industry.

“When the company began ten years ago, our name was more fitting. However, today we proudly serve top golf courses in all 50 United States as well as in Canada, Mexico, Central America, The Dominican Republic, South America, Europe and Asia. We have simply outgrown our name, as the size and scope of our business now extends well beyond the Great Lakes region of the U.S.,” said Morse.

The Prestwick Golf Group manufactures and sells handcrafted, custom golf course site furnishings and accessories to the top golf courses throughout the United States and abroad. The company also supplies premium quality site furnishings to parks and attractions under the Great Lakes Specialty Products brand name. The Prestwick Golf Group is a wholly owned subsidiary of The Prestwick Group, Inc.

The Prestwick Group, Inc. is a privately held corporation.
